CVS Pharmacy or, as it is more commonly known, CVS is the second largest pharmacy chain in the United States and started out as a subsidiary of Melville Corporation where its full name was 'Consumer Value Stores'. What many today don't realize is that CVS is currently the retail pharmacy division of CVS Caremark Corporation (formally Melville Corporation) and as it's CEO Tom Ryan stated, 'CVS stands for 'Customer, Value and Service'. A majority of the CVS chain sells prescription drugs and a wide variety of general merchandise, such as film and photo services, seasonal items, greeting cards and convenience foods. CVS also has a user friendly on-line store offering easy access right at your fingertips as well as providing healthcare services through it's MinuteClinic healthcare clinics and Diabetes Care Centers.
